Our Mission

The Great Commission of Jesus is not just to preach the Gospel to
everyone, but to make disciples so the Gospel can be effectively
preached to everyone.

Matthew 28:19-20 (King James Version)
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you:
and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Romans 10, verses 14 and 15
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and
how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how
shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent?

John 4:35
Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh
harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the
fields; for they are white already to harvest.

At Bethel Baptist Church, we strive to fulfill The Great Commission by going out into our own community and by sending missionaries around the globe. We may not be able to go everywhere ourselves, but we can send others in our place. We understand that this commission is given individually to all believers. We understand that if we don’t send the missionaries, many places around the world will never hear the gospel, so it is our duty to both be a witness in our own community and send other witnesses abroad to spread the gospel.
